Players who don't switch heroes

Players who don't switch in Overwatch when they have the brain cells and the capacity to really get to me me sometimes.

Take, for example, ult-charge-%-collectors, like this Lucio I just played with. Spent all game telling my team they had their ult here and there, but it did fuck all and we lost best 2 out of 3 anyway (because ULT CHARGE DOES NOT CARRY OVER ON CONTROL).

What I'm getting at is a basic, common mistake in Overwatch: saving your ultimate for the right moment. Generally, that makes sense, you want to use a strong, powerful ability at the right time otherwise it feels like -you- wasted your time.

But too often, my games end with either me at 99% ult charge, which can't really be helped, and 1-2 of my teammates who have theirs but chose to "save it" for the next failed teamfight anyway. Rinse and repeat.

This is frustrating, especially when the game throws me into the tank role which comes with the additional burden of having to be near the objective otherwise total anarchy reigns and the game becomes wholly unfun and boring.

Why not switch to a different hero instead of letting your ult charge gather dust in an ACTION-BASED TEAM-ORIENTED FPS, team?!

A question that I'll probably never get an answer to, as usual, except for a mute & a ban from Blizzard for daring to communicate with their precious player consumer base.

Also, fk turrets. I fking hate them. Torb's. Symm's. Ball's. Even Larry the Cable Girl's pylon is starting to get on my nerves sometimes, and she is my favourite design... until Anran released. I LIKE ZOOMING AROUND BECAUSE IT LESSENS THE CHANCE I NEED TO RELY ON NON-EXISTENT HEALS!

I shudder to think what five additional heroes will do to the game landscape, but at least I don't have to keep calling it Overwatch TWO like I did for so many years. It's just Classic now if I play 6vs6, and in 5vs5, well, at least the queue times are low.

One more fact, I think; I preferred this game when I mostly played it on my Nintendo Switch WITH gyro support. Mouse and Keyboard is fun in the moment, but the feelings of working as a team are few and far in-between.

Anyway; catch me not switch off Anran, Domina, and Zen for the next little while.

I say this, but we all know I'm going to switch to what -feels right- and trigger my whole team for daring to switch to a non-meta hero anyway.
