One does not simply leap into Mordor...

It's true, you can't really take a leap of faith into Mordor, though I'm sure you could argue that Frodo did and blah blah blah. I needed a title today, so I picked that. Nothing else to it.

So, I've accomplished something rather odd this week: Not a single day of school. Oh, you must think I'm crazy, a deviant of some sort? I'll admit I was lazy, and the reasons for not going to school are not good reasons you'd like to hear, so I won't tell them. So, if you haven't been blessed by my presence in the hallways, you now know why.

So, in the end, it doesn't work out too well anyway, I'm prolly behind on tons of stuff. But I did have a nice week, lotsa sleeping and reading honestly. And now I shall pay the price.

Oh, I'd also like to thank Kates for filling in my blog, I'm certainly not nearly as consistent with the writing as I used to be. But Kates certainly does provide the more... feminine side of the blog, what with her chick flick analysis and all, and I'm sure she talked about shoes somewhere. Not that my blog is really masculine or anything, it's more of a neutral tone I'd say. Which is nice.

Do have a good end of the weekend, I will leave now, with this very short blog entry.

Sugar High

Hello out there!

Sorry to anyone who cares that both Gabby and I are horrible at committing to write something down more than once (or twice if your lucky) a month! He's always complaining about lack of interest from the great masses that tend not to flock to his blog but really, who better to blame than himself? Well ourselves now :P. Tell me Gabby: how are we supposed to attract readers with no new material?
One of the main reasons that I have been MIA these past weeks is somewhat due to school but a lot can be said about the distraction of the book I am currently reading!! Now you must promise not to laugh.... I'm currently reading the books in the Twilight series. Yes I am aware that they are kind of trashy, no I am not going to pretend they are great works of literature that will be remembered for decades. Hell chick lit is a bit of a vice for me and I’m not afraid to admit it!! The story is quite captivating and honestly what girl can resist a good old fashioned passionate love story?! They even has a love triangle or two :P It’s also a plus when there are things like gorgeous vampires and dangerously alluring werewolves to entertain you ;). I'm also the biggest nerd on the planet because the other book I'm reading is the latest in the Halo novel series:P. I know how much cooler can one person get? If you know anything about Halo (the most awesome video game ...ever..) here's the basic idea of this book: Avery Johnson is a young marine in a special division who gets transferd to a easier job out in the far off human colony of Harvest, but soon the Humans and the Covenant are going to have their first contact. Obviously this part of the story comes before the first game and I am finding it quite enjoyable so far.
Since I have already embarrassed myself with my revelations on the book front mind as well divulge my other favourite procrastination past time....... I am addicted to One Tree Hill :$:P. I know it’s a soap opera but not only is everyone (give or take a few) on the show amazingly attractive, with awesome hair might I add, it also has so much drama that I can forget about how silly my life is for a while. I am currently on season 2 episode 16, and I have been trying to pace myself, you know fill in the gaps with History homework, trashy novels and the occasional food break:P.

As for my real life, you know the one in the real world, I have actually had a kind of eventful couple of days! Wednesday was the first swim meet of the year; I think I placed second in something or other... I really need to shave 3 seconds off my 50 free time before I will be satisfied though. After swim Julian's mom drove Andrew and I home, thanks Wendy you’re the best, she bought us doughnuts though... a dozen of them ….. for the 4 of us:S. I hate to admit that I had three, but the swimming makes up for it. Right?:D I also had Mickey D’s for dinner with my dad; I got a grilled chicken sandwich though, which counts for some you-aren't-going-to-fat-people's-hell points. Thursday was parent teachers and unfortunately my evil twin was in the day my teacher was looking for a secretary so I was stuck at school on my half day :( I spent my time chatting with Jordan, Dexter and Travis which was...nice... :P lol. Thursday night after my singing lesson/rehearsal (no laughing, I am in a church choir) I went with some friends to see August Rush. Which was incredible, in a feel good, everything is a huge coincidence but that’s okay, kind of way:D. Friday I hung out downtown with a “special client”, bought some pizza and CDs, generally had a good time. Then came home, did minimal homework until Devlin came over to help me beat Halo :D. My dog almost ate him though:S I never really got around to the whole puppy training thing, don’t get me wrong though, he’s a good dog, just a little... wild sometimes.
Anyways Devlin and I went back to his house for some gaming with Davie and Dusan, and this is probably the best part of my weekend. See I ate almost half a thing of mint chocolate chip swirl something or other ice cream, and then played Halo with two guys who are both much better than me. I have a sugar high and Devlin is trying to coach me from the sidelines, mainly by yelling “JUMP!!” over and over again. This obviously sends me into a fit of uncontrollable giggles when jumping actually keeps me alive for a good 3 minutes with Davie chasing after me with a rocket launcher, mongoose, gravity hammer and I think a Spartan laser, though I was laughing too hard to really tell. :P I babysat Saturday night, will discuss the merits and downfalls of babysitting at a later date, after spending and hour and a half bagging leaves with my daddy. Thank God too, cause with all that white stuff outside I think anyone who was putting the leaves issue off to a later date is shit outta luck!

God I can talk a lot!! It must be something like a new record! :P Hope everyone had as action packed a long weekend as I did, and until I grace you with my presence again,

Later Days!

HALEY: Urgh(!) Do you think there’s such a thing as a sugar hangover?
(Brooke shrugs and makes a slight noise before getting up.)
BROOKE: I think what you need is a little taste of the snake that bit ya(!)
(Kneels in front of Haley, smiling.)
HALEY: Ice-cream for breakfast?
BROOKE: It’s Butter-pecan.

P.S. That was EXACTALY how I felt after both the doughnuts and the ice cream **groan**
